What people are saying…
We have stayed at Watergate for the past 3 years and count our days until our next stay. There are many nearby restaurants however we prefer to shop at the local markets, cook at home and enjoy the beautiful sunsets. Debra is always there to answer any emails or phone calls with any questions or concerns. Our only reservation about writing this is giving away our little piece of paradise.

Watergate is a wonderful apartment, ideally situated on the Caribbean Sea in Fitt’s Village, St. James in Barbados. It has all the conveniences of home set in the tranquil seaside village with the golden sand beach and turquoise waters just out front. The landscape is enhanced with tropical trees and flowers. Access to shopping is a short walk away, or a short bus ride to either Bridgetown or Holetown. I always stay there when vacationing in Barbados with my family. You can’t beat it for location to enjoy the sea and beach, and easy access to anything you may need for a great holiday. So I keep going back.

The apartment has a waterfront location with steps directly to the beach. You can relax on the covered veranda or sun yourself on the large patio. The outside shower is handy after a swim in the sea. Jordan’s grocery store is minutes away as is the bus stop that has quick access to Holetown or Bridgetown. Comfortable furnishings with cable television and internet access. We love this west coast location with it’s friendly and welcoming people. We will definitely be back!

My husband I visit Barbados every year and have done so for the last 12 years or so. We absolutely love it and especially staying in Fitts Village. We have stayed in Marguerite 2 twice already and have booked again for next year. We find the apartment well equipped, light, bright, spacious and airy. From the master bedroom there is a lovely view of the sea and from the top of the stairs leading to the apartment. Although there is not a balcony as such, the small area is big enough for a couple of seats to watch the sunset with a drink.
The apartment is very conveniently situated as it a few yards from the beach, and bus stop, with local buses going to Bridgetown and Holetown. Jordan’s supermarket is also a few yards away and sells most items you will require, but if you want more extensive choices there is a large supermarket in Holetown a short bus ride away.
There is also a very good beach bar restaurant called Il Tempio on the beach just across the road, which does lunch and dinner every day except Mondays. They do great cocktails and have a happy hour Fridays and Sundays from 4-6pm with hors d’oeuvres. You can also rent loungers and umbrellas on the beach.
There is also a small cafe next to Jordan’s called Kylro’s that serve breakfast and lunches at very reasonable prices. If you would like a very local rum shop experience, Wendy’s sports bar is a short walk away, anyone will give you directions. They do great lunches and on Friday evenings have karaoke and great food. The ribs are amazing. We love it and have a ball. We even join in the karaoke.
Debbie and her husband Peter are very good hosts and make our stay very comfortable.
The locals are very friendly and helpful and always have a chat as they go by. We always enjoy our stay in Marguerite apartment.
